“OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA” by Beatles

Desmond has a barrow in the market place,
Molly is the singer in a band.
Desmond says to Molly, “Girl, I like your face,”
and Molly says this as she takes him by the hand:

Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, bra,
lala how their life goes on.
Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, bra,
lala how their life goes on.

Desmond takes a trolley to the jeweler’s store,
buys a twenty carat golden ring.
Takes it back to Molly waiting at the door,
and as he gives it to her she begins to sing:

Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, bra,
lala how their life goes on.
Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, bra,
lala how their life goes on.

In a couple of years,
they have built a home sweet home.
With a couple of kids running in the yard
of Desmond and Molly Jones.

Happy ever after in the market place,
Desmond lets the children lend a hand.
Molly stays at home and does her pretty face,
and in the evening she still sings it with the band.

Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, bra,
lala how their life goes on.
Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, bra,
lala how their life goes on.

In a couple of years,
they have built a home sweet home.
With a couple of kids running in the yard
of Desmond and Molly Jones.

Happy ever after in the market place,
Molly lets the children lend a hand.
Desmond stays at home and does his pretty face,
and in the evening she’s a singer with the band.

Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, bra,
lala how their life goes on.
Obladi, Oblada, life goes on, bra,
lala how their life goes

And if you want some fun, take obladiblada.

A Happy Story Of Mindless People, "OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA" by Beatles

When you listen to the Beatles'”Ob-la-di Ob-la-da,” you get to feel good. Desmond and Molly from the song lead a very pleasant and simple life, like its pleasant melody. As the lyrics tell you that Ob-la-di Ob-la-da is how life goes on, the happily married couple built a sweet home without complaining about each other. It sounds like a story from a fairy tale. Honestly speaking, it sounds almost impossible in our reality and so, many people wish to live like Desmond and Molly, loving each other all the time, having a happy time, with kids running in the yard and lending a hand in the marketplace, and everyone singing merrily every evening.

How many people could actually live joyfully without mind all the time in reality? People become too busy to talk to each other, and because the human mind always changes, they get to hate each other one day and eventually separate after experiencing those agonies.  Living without the mind, loving others the way they are and living joyfully and gratefully wouldn’t seem realistic. However, there is a way that we can live like Molly and Desmond now. If you throw away the human mind, that is, the mind of stress and pain, expectations toward others and your greed, life would always be cheerful and full of laughter, just like the story told with the delightful melodies of “Ob-la-di Ob-la-da.” It is a certain fact: the method of throwing away the mind has come out to the world, and we can really escape from the mind of pain and burden by actually throwing it away. Therefore, we can always laugh, sing, and love each other. Actually, many people are already living in this way. I hope everyone can live joyfully together with others by emptying out their mind.

Being absent of mind, you become endlessly friendly and gentle. Wouldn’t the world be truly beautiful if everyone throws away their mind and lives without mind in this world? Like Desmond and Molly, if you live without complaints, worries and greed, and instead live with gratitude for those around you while doing your best on what you are supposed to do and living life to the fullest, there wouldn’t be a better life. It seems like the time has now come where everyone could live like this.

So far, humans had their own mind so they couldn’t trust each other, couldn’t appreciate their spouse, complained about their jobs or businesses they were involved with, and always felt lacking. Because they had a lot of mind, they experienced a lot of pain and burden. We are lucky that we live at this very time, a time in which we could meet a method to throw away the mind. I hope everyone tries hard to throw away their mind and live a forever-happy life as suggested in the lyrics of the cheerful melody of “Ob-la-di Ob-la-da.”Isn’t life something truly joyful? If you want fun from your life, let’s sing “Ob-la-di Ob-la-da!”
