These are the lights we are familiar with. These lights are beautiful. But they are artificial beauty.
I visited Forks, Seattle, the setting of the novel series Twilight. There, I was surrounded by enormous dense forests, and experienced the pristine, untainted beauty of nature… On the way back home, at night, I stop the car. I am roused from my exhaustion. When I raise my body up, open the car door, and step out, I see a never-seen spectacle spreading in front of me, no actually, up above. It is The Milky Way. The Milky Way covers the expanse of the sky. Even though it is a frigid, windy winter night, I forget about the cold and silently gaze up at the sky in awe. I become one with the silent sky. It’s beautiful. It’s warm. It’s breathtaking.
The masterpiece of sky! Have you ever seen the Milky Way?
If you cannot enjoy it for real, at least you can enjoy it on the screen.
Below is a selection of pieces by the sky, stretching from America to Kilimanjaro.
Immediately overwhelmed by the sky light…
Not a single element missing, The Milky Way exists in perfect harmony. It is as beautiful as it gets!
Oh, it’s so warm. All the troubles in my mind dissolve. They just melt away.
And I become one, one with the universe.
The sky is an original, creative artist.
The moment is captivating; I just get sucked into the sky lights.
Coexisting with the countless stars, I also become a star.
The silence is enough to draw me in. I’m overwhelmed by the intensity and power of this silence.
I, once again, do not exist, and only the world exists.
Anywhere, anytime, it presents colorful pieces. The sky…
The Milky Way, which rests on the original foundation, is a truly artistic masterpiece of the sky. It exists for a while, but eventually vanishes. Nevertheless, the foundation of the sky is always with us, no matter where we are. The sky hugs me, embraces me, just like Mom. The sky is always with me. Not turning my back on the sky anymore, I become one with the sky and coexist.
