We walk along the path called life once we are born in the world.
We take it step by step, starting from little toddling to stamping big footsteps.
It would be nice if the path we walk is always a comfortable soil track leading us to aromatic grasslands. However, we cannot know what kind of route will appear before us. There comes a moment when you suddenly stop and ask yourself, “where did I come from and where am I going?”
Fear and excitement always coexist in our mind about what will be waiting for us at the end of the road. No one knows whether they are taking the right path or where they are heading to. That is the way of life of human beings.
As you keep walking thoughtlessly, a road paved with asphalt comes.
It seems that it would endlessly continue but it eventually ends one day. We cannot know whether there is a cliff or a warm village at the end of the road. Questions are without end while walking along the road and the unresolved questions still remain even as you reach the end of your path. Our life’s journey continues on.
Life’s burden is loaded on our back. We bear these burdens as we walk the path. The burdens that we created by ourselves and bear become heavier with each step.
Anyway, we walk the path. But why don’t we set down the burden and walk? As you continue, good situations arise and friends join in on the journey.
As you enjoy the journey itself without burden and pressure, you eventually reach the destination.
You felt that you were alone but ‘the world’ has always been beside you all along. As you escape from your mind thinking that you are alone, the world lessens your burden and the world becomes the way.
And, if you walk the way silently, you eventually become that ‘path.’ You become a signpost for people who are following that path. With gratitude for even having such a way, let’s keep walking forward. Set down the regret that makes you look back as well as the expectations about what the future holds; and just walk. The way is created like this.
